People to Watch 2025 – Bryan Goodman
Bryan has been at Ford for more than 25 years, and currently heads Ford’s AI strategy, where he impacts everything from the development of Ford’s self-driving cars and building cloud-based analytic data pipelines to automating call center interactions and developing an interactive car manual.
Bryan has been a regular attendee, and sometimes a speaker, at Nvidia’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC). In 2024, Bryan presented a session where he discussed the challenges of implementing AI, including verification of data, hallucinations, and output consistency.
As the agentic AI era has unfolded, Bryan has taken steps to define Ford’s strategy. Instead of using traditional techniques to run time-consuming physics-based tests, such as wind-tunnel testing and computational fluid dynamics, Bryan is leading Ford’s investigation into how it can use agentic AI to predict the results of those tests and then string those tests together to compress the testing cycle.
The grandson of a farmer, Bryan has a BS in math and chemistry from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, and a PhD in physical chemistry in computational science and engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
