Weather Analytics to Attend Data Innovation Day
WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan. 16 – Today massive amounts of information are collected, analyzed, integrated, and disseminated, transforming virtually every industry and offering a wealth of opportunities to make the world a better place.
To mark the important opportunities and diversity that exists within the data economy, Weather Analytics is joining other well-known data companies at the second annual Data Innovation Day. The celebration promotes the benefits generated by the current revolution in data and gives participants the opportunity to showcase the latest data innovations and the economic value of the information economy.
“Our participation in Data Innovation Day highlights our unique role in the evolution of data and our commitment to promoting the continued development of the data economy,” says Director of Marketing, Emmett Soldati “Weather Analytics maintains a large, global weather history database. But our power is in how we use and apply this big data set.” Weather Analytics is soon to announce the release of its first product – Weather Verification Reports – which are already helping insurance companies supplement claims with accurate, locally-precise, historic weather data. Soldati continues, “At the core of our business is data innovation. We can utilize other companies’ and organizations’ data – whether sales figures, logistics, or even insurance claims – and provide insight about how weather impacts the majority of business decisions.”
To celebrate Data Innovation Day, Weather Analytics will be featuring new the visualizations produced at a recent in-house hackathon. Its ‘Millennial Meterologists’ – the team that analyzes the giant data sets and also curates their new blog, The Weather Report (weatheranalytics.tumblr.com), will be attending to highlight how Weather Analytics transforms its own ‘Big Data’ into actionable, intelligent, industry ready solutions.
