Elasticsearch Joins the Cisco Solution Partner Program

LOS ALTOS, Calif. and AMSTERDAM, The Netherlands, Nov. 10 — Elasticsearch Inc., the company behind the ELK stack, announced today that it has joined the Cisco Solution Partner Program. The Internet of Everything (IoE) continues to bring together people, processes, data and things to enhance the relevancy of network connections. As a member of the Cisco Solution Partner Program, Elasticsearch is able to quickly create and deploy solutions to enhance the capabilities, performance and management of the network to capture value in the IoE.

“Enterprises around the world use Cisco UCS’s integrated compute, storage, and networking solution to manage their data centers,” said Steven Schuurman, CEO, Elasticsearch. “With the ELK stack, Cisco UCS customers now have a full-scale solution for doing complex analysis across that data and can instantly gain valuable insights into their business. We look forward to reaching a new set of customers as part of this program.”

Mozilla, best known for its 10-year history of producing the Firefox web browser, is one of the companies already benefiting from Elasticsearch and Kibana combined with Cisco UCS. Mozilla chose Elasticsearch and Kibana to power MozDef, it’s open source Security Information and Event Management platform, for flexibility in data and document structure as well as ease-of-use in clustering, searching, backup and visualizations. These features of Elasticsearch and Kibana, combined with Mozilla’s existing Cisco UCS infrastructure and the MozDef SIEM overlay, allow for real-time indexing, search and analytics of over 300 million events/day protecting Mozilla’s network, services and systems from security threats.

“Elasticsearch, Kibana and Cisco UCS allowed us to quickly stand up an infrastructure we could use to build MozDef, and support our needs for rapid expansion, querying, indexing and replication of data traffic,” said Jeff Bryner, Intrusion Detection Engineer at Mozilla. “Elasticsearch provides us the flexibility and speed to handle our increasing stream of event data, which we can search and visualize in Kibana and then use MozDef to perform incident response, alerting and advanced visualizations to protect Mozilla’s data, systems and customers.”

The Cisco Solution Partner Program, part of the Cisco Partner Ecosystem, unites Cisco with third-party independent hardware and software vendors to deliver integrated solutions to joint customers. As a Solution Partner, Elasticsearch offers a solution for the thousands of Enterprises that have the Cisco Unified Computing System deployed.
